An Interview with Rhett
I have exciting news today everyone. The very first episode of an interview series on Polly Podcast has just been recorded with my good friend Rhett!
Rhett is a professional 3D Sculptor for Riot Games - so we spoke in depth about his work, his love for art and sculpting, inspirations, sense of humour, how he came into such a specific profession, education, streaming, and his advice for other creatives who are perhaps pursuing their own dreams.
I won’t be transcribing the entire conversation onto here, but if I could very politely ask that you give Polly Podcast a listen if you haven't yet, because it was a lot of fun and I am so very keen to do more of these interviews with other creative friends soon! Also please go and check out Rhett and his work over on twitter if you get the chance: twitter.com/RhettIsAndra
If any of you lovely people know someone creative who might be interested in a very casual interview then please let me know. I have a few future people in mind who I need to ask, but I’m always open to more collaborations and new ideas.
The purpose of these interview episodes is to help bring together and platform interesting voices on various specific fields, to hopefully learn new things together and provide some good dialogue from creative individuals and their fascinating lives. If we can create an atmosphere to help support or positively foster new creatives in the world who might end up listening then that is a massive success to me.
Growing up I always had a lingering lust for creativity, but it was fairly rare that I was ever around like-minded people. I had a few fun shimmering glimpses, and projects with friends that got my feet wet, but until I moved to the UK, and was finally surrounded by other people pursuing their own artistic endeavours, I had no idea what kind of a catalyst that could be. My artistic and creative development shot up tenfold. I was inspired by all of my friends, and I couldn’t stop learning from them, simply just being around them was enough.
I want to try and recreate some small part of that experience that I had in England to share with a community online, through these podcast episodes and various social media outlets. So I want to thank Rhett immensely for his openness in our conversation and for lending his unique insight for an hour or so. Here's to many more new conversations to come!
